North Carolina Social Security Offices
NC Social Security offices are located throughout the state. There are four hearing offices, some of which also have additional “remote hearing sites” and there are currently 33 local offices (also called “field offices”) in North Carolina. There are also two hearing offices outside of NC that are assigned to hear disability claims filed by NC residents.
Each hearing office is responsible for a set number of local offices. This means that if you file a Request for Hearing, your case will be assigned to the hearing office that covers your local office. There are some instances when a hearing office may have cases transferred to another hearing office, usually in another state. This does not mean that you will have to travel to another state but if you want an in person hearing at your closest hearing location, it is very important that you return the form objecting to a video hearing when it arrives. If you are represented by Lunn & Forro, we will tell Social Security what type of hearing you would like to have.
You can click on any of the offices below to obtain more information about the office, including the address, map location, hours and phone number.
